Crazy Shade of Winter: Poetry, Weirdo Drag, Lit

Cozy up with Abbie Jeanne Amadio and Rex Renee Leonowitch for a night of storytelling, poetry, weirdo tragicomic drag, and then some. Rex performs poems, sings, projects art, does alt drag and awkward burlesque. They're both from places that have actual winter.

REX RENEE LEONOWICZ is a multimedia artist, performer, writer, and activist from Queens, New York. As a working class, trans/nonbinary femme, Rex’s art and performance work is grounded in a politics of radical resistance, healing, and witness. Rex is a gender-bending, genre-blending artist whose work critically responds to the relationships people on the margins have with our surroundings and each other. Rex's book of poems and illustrations, when there is no one and there is everyone, is available from Magic Helicopter Press.

ABBIE JEANNE AMADIO doesn't write as frequently on paper as she does in her mind. She has been working on a first novel for three years and also writes poetry on occasion, some recent of which can be found in the Canadian feminist journal Baldhip. You can read some of her other writing at Midwestern Gothic, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, and Punk Planet. She has a vague internet presence at
