Poets! Writing novels! Or at least one of them. Come celebrate the release of Zachary Schomburg's first novel, "Mammother" (Featherpress Books, 2017), along with the recent release of Alex Cruse's, "CONTRAVERSE" (Timeless Infinite Light, 2017), and local poet Martin Rock.
Zachary Schomburg is the author of four books of poetry, and is the publisher of Octopus Books. He lives in Portland, OR. "Mammother" is his first novel.
alex cruse is an Oakland-based interdisciplinary artist, writer, and educator. She is the author of CONTRAVERSE (Timeless, Infinite Light, 2017), as well as several chapbooks of poetry and prose.
Martin Rock is the author of Residuum, editor's choice for the 2015 Cleveland State University Poetry Center's first book prize, and the chapbook Dear Mark (Brooklyn Arts Press 2013). Recent poems have appeared in Colorado Review, Missouri Review, AGNI, and Best American Experimental Writing 2017. With Martha Collins and Kevin Prufer he co-edited the Unsung Masters Series volume: Catherine Breese Davis: On the Life and Work of an American Master (Pleiades 2016). He teaches literature and writing at California College of the Arts and is Associate Director of Communications at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. His website is martinrockpoetry.com.
