Pre-Solstice Reading: Gutmann-Gonzalez, Resnikoff, Weeks

Come through the dark long night, not the longest night but very near it, to hear three visitors read you unseasonable heat.

Their names and numbers:

Mandy Gutmann-Gonzalez is from Vilches, Chile. They hold an MFA in Poetry from Cornell University and have attended the Bucknell Seminar for Younger Poets and the Lambda Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBT Voices. Most recently, their poetry has appeared in BLOOM and Hobart magazines and is forthcoming in West Branch. Their novel in Spanish, La Pava (Ediciones Inubicalistas), was published in 2016.

Ariel Resnikoff is a poet, translator & editor living in Philadelphia, PA. Recent work can be found in Jacket2, Golden Handcuffs Review, & the Dibur journal. Ariel teaches Creative Reading at the Center for Programs in Contemporary Writing (UPenn) & curates the "Multilingual Poetics" reading/talk series at Kelly Writers House. French translations of his work are forthcoming in LA TRAVERSE DU TIGRE (Les Carnets d’Eucharis, 2018).

Maya Weeks is a writer, artist, and geographer from the central coast of California working on oceans, waste, gender, and logistics.
