This March, we're showing a first look at Color Wheel, Norah Emily’s forthcoming book of poems. Color Wheel is arranged as a chromatic scale, correlating sound and color. The book encompasses five years of travel across three continents from the winter of 2011 to the spring of 2016. The manuscript’s many-layered drafts have been scanned, printed, edited from the writer’s journals. These working layouts are installed in a series of backlit light-boxes that slowly shift in color.
The opening on Thursday March 3rd, 2016, from 7PM 10PM, with live music by Soleil Chappelle (Oakland // Colorado) and Totonoko (Portland // Oakland), and reading by Norah Emily (New Orleans // Oakland).
